Me at the temple of Poseidon at Sounion, Greece - Dan Bools

I have always had an interest in the ancient world. I studied Ancient History and Archaeology at the University of Leicester, which I then followed up with a masters degree in the Classical Mediterranean at the same university. My interest in the ancient world, particularly classical Greece, continues in the form of personal research and writing articles on topics which interest me.

I am also an avid reader of fantasy, which I also write. I belong to several writing forums and have been involved in National Novel Writing Month for five years, and as an ML for four of those. Outside Suite 101, I have previously written about pacing and suspense in fiction for Mythic Scribes, a fantasy forum, and intend to write many more articles about aspects of writing and fantasy fiction.
